BGH was first thought up in 2004 and came into reality in the summer of 2006. Founded by a small group of locals from around the Brick and Toms River areas, BGH quickly began to emerge as a voice for disenfranchised locals up and down the coast. The movement, founded under general initiatives meant to educate and unite other persons of the area to the other side of tourism, grew and changed over the years along with those working within the organization. Today, BGH boasts supporters in nearly every town and city of the Jersey Shore, and continues to grow almost exclusively through the support of these bold individuals. BGH continues to work towards the total awareness of the people regarding the effects of tourism and it's associated industries in the place we call home, and we continue to encourage other locals to take up this flag and do whatever they can to preserve the ideals they too hold.
